Change to Fluorescent Bulbs

I have heard that if every house in the United States changed all of the light bulbs in their house to Fluorescent Blubs, that would be equivalent to taking one million cars off the streets.

Now, I am not an expert so I don't know if the numbers are really that high. However, the point is we could save a lot of energy by making just one simple change.
